Bodycanvas is a premium tattoo and piercing studio, started  in 1998, in the lanes of Andheri in commercial apartment on a small scale and eventually in 2002, our first studio was established in Mumbai.

Our esteemed tattooist , Founder and creative director Vikas Malani, is a self taught artist and before tattooing commercially, he formally got trained under DR kohiyar , the father of modern tattooing in India.

On this note Vikas Malani says :
I finally felt ,in 2003 , that it was time to open my own studio. Bodycanvas was designed to accommodate our artist as well as our clients needs. It is a propitious space in which to flourish , undergo personal transformation and make great tattoos was always a motto.
Indian tattoo industry needed an systematic approach towards the art and that’s where I decided to shape it into professional manner . Weather we talk about hygiene , quality of products , availability of products ,aftercare and not the least, the acceptance of art in the society !
That’s how later on along with tattoos I decided to put my hands in tattoo supplies and started TRI and Ink potentials .

At bodycanvas our artist do all the type of tattoos from minimilistic to hyper realism. If we talk about piercing, we follow international hygiene standards and do various piercing on the body parts .

Bodycanvas is located in Mumbai , Delhi and London at present.

For over 20 years , Bodycanvas has been built in the vision of uncompromising quality and timeless art and design and shall continue doing it !

Once you enter our studio, our artist would guide you throughout the process. Placement of tattoo plays a vital role, and when u feel confused or unsure about it, our artist would suggest you appropriate placement by giving their right suggestion!
Yes, it does, but it also depends on the placement and personal threshold. Generally, minimalistic and small tattoos are less painful compared to the tattoos which involves lot of shading work. Your brain releases endorphins when you go through pain, and Our body kind of like it, which helps through this process. And at last, we use the latest technology tattoo machines, which doesn’t make scary sound as they use to make earlier, Which makes the tattooing experience less traumatic. So, don’t worry, keep your stress away and our team at Bodycanvas would make you feel comfortable while your tattooing experience!
It takes 2 weeks for a tattoo to heal externally, but It takes around 5 weeks for skin to regenerate completely! Aftercare is essential once the tattoo is done. We would give you a proper aftercare in email and explain you in detail at the studio once your tattoo is done. We have designed our own aftercare guidelines after doing research.
In Mumbai, we are located in Bandra and Malad. In Delhi, Hauz Khas village And in London at Goodge Street
Yes, after understanding what concept you have in your mind, our artists would create a unique design with their own creativity and style.
Once the consultation is done at the studio and design is ready, we calculate the price according to the size and complexity of the tattoo!
The probability of your tattoo getting infected is high if no proper hygiene is maintained at studio, hence we assure that we follow strict hygiene standards making the environment safe for tattooing. Other factors may include , like direct contact of tattoo to dust , fabric, chlorine water , etc! So we give proper aftercare guidelines which avoids such circumstances !
All the artists at Bodycanvas are specialized in their style of tattoo. Once we see the design or understand the artwork we assign the artist according to that. Like if there is a color tattoo we would assign an artist who is an expert in that particular style. Hence we would help you to choose the right artist for the tattoo.
Taking a prior appointment is always better, as you don’t have to wait for long, but just in case if you decide to walk-in at the studio we follow first come first serve policy!
